Little
Experiments Using Electromagnetic Theories ::
|

1.
Maglev Toy : Use the repulsive force of the magnets in order to
make the bearing float in the air.

2.
The Application of Lenz's Law : According to Lenz's Law, when
the magnet moves around the aluminum plate, an induced current is formed
which enables the plate to rotate with the magnet.

3.
Turn Magnetism into Electricity : According to the Maxwell
Formula, we know that an electromotive force is developed by change in the
magnetic field. If the magnetic force is strong enough, the electricity
which it produces will be able to turn on the light bulb.

The
Arago Plate :
This experiment basically uses the same
theory as experiment 2, the Lenz's Law. Except we change the magnet into 4
magnets driven by a motor.

The Fluorescent Tube : The fluorescent tube will be turned on
when placing at a proper distance (approximately 25cm) to the
electromagnetic stove.

6.
Maglev Globe : We can suspend the globe using the magnetic
force produced by the coil and stabilize it by feedback control.

7.
Jumping Loop :
When the coil is subjected to an alternating current
and produces a magnetic force Φ through
the aluminum loop.
From Lenz's Law, the aluminum loop will induce a current, forming a
magnetic force against the original
force Φ, which makes the loop jump in action.

Spinning Magnetic Field Developer : Let a current pass through
the six coils orderly, the direction of the magnetic field can change from
A-B-C to A'-B'-C', which forms a spinning magnetic field.
